Connecting International Talent with Companies in Schleswig-Holstein

We connect current (and future!) students of the international graduate programmes at the Faculty of Engineering of the CAU in Kiel with companies in the region.

The two sides of the problem:

• Highly qualified and motivated professionals want to come to Kiel for their master’s studies. Many of them need financial support in order to do that. Living in Germany can be expensive, especially if you come from a country where average income is lower.
• Companies are in growing need of highly qualified and motivated professionals. Fachkräftemangel (labour shortage) in several technical fields is an increasingly big threat for the economy of the region.

The STA is our innovative solution to help both sides help each other. We provide a flexible framework for the synergy of industry and the CAU Kiel through the connection of students and companies. With this, we encourage a sustainable incorporation of capable workers, technology transfer and innovation in our region.

 

The Science and Technology Academy is a joint initiative of the Faculty of Engineering at the CAU in Kiel and the North German Initiative Nanotechnology (NINa SH e.V.). We have support from the Ministry of Economy, Transport, Labour, Technology and Tourism of Schleswig-Holstein, and top companies in the region.
