Working in Germany: What Every International Student Needs to Know

30.03.2026

Navigating the German job market as an international student can feel overwhelming. What are your rights as an employee? What support is available to you? and who offers it for free? What do you need to know about social security, contracts, taxes, and residence permits before you start working?

This four-part webinar series is designed to answer exactly those questions. Each session covers a different aspect of working life in Germany, with a focus on international students in Kiel and Schleswig-Holstein. The online sessions are open to all international Master's students at the Faculty of Engineering.

Sessions will be online, via Zoom, they will run from 45–50 minutes, followed by a 10–15 minute Q&A.
